don't forget it! oh btw, i've been roleplaying for like three or four years! yeah, you better believe it.
my final last words would be i haven't properly roleplayed belarus in quite a while now, so i'm probably going to be a little rusty. i'm sure i'll warm up to her again in time, though! also, i hope i'm doing this right... /paranoid

PHONE NUMBER: 375-177-9472
IM SCREENAME: EveryRoseHasItsThorn
LOVE:
- ballet
- sitting before a warm fire
- the occult
- dolls
- her brother
HATE:
- vulgarity
- falling short of expectations
- being pitied
- boisterous, noisy people
- sunflowers
STRENGTHS:
- mental agility; her intelligence is not something to undermine. though she doesn't put much effort in to applying herself academically, she is extremely manipulative and calculating when she wants to be
- compusure; she is able to keep up a convincing façade without much effort around most people
- persistence; she is quite the extremist when it comes to the people and things she is passionate about. as to whether or not this could be considered a good quality, depends entirely on the person being asked
- vocals; though trivial, her singing voice has been described as rather enchanting
WEAKNESSES:
- family; she tends to switch to a completely different persona around them, particularly her brother, and comes off as somewhat mentally unstable with her inability to control herself while in his presence
- emotionally unstable; strong and overwhelming emotions are hard for her to handle, so for the most part she simply hides them behind a perfectly constructed mask. however, there are times when she is pushed to her limit and is unable to contain herself any longer, and so she simply lashes out in an attempt to relieve herself of these foreign feelings
- introverted; she becomes timid and paranoid around strangers and would much rather live her life in the sidelines, observing from the shadows in preference to openly participating, though she quickly learnt that her chances of being able to live peacefully at this school are slim
- stamina; despite being nicely lithe, she does not have much endurance when it comes to physically straining activities such as long distance running
PERSONALITY:
natalia is a complex girl. in the face of most people, she is simply a polite and respectful, albeit distant and somewhat intimidating student who has no problem whatsoever being frank with her opinions when they are required. she appears to be an average teenage girl. there is, however, more to her than that. though she does her best to appear civil before her friends and acquaintances, she remains severely critical and distrustful of the world around her on the inside.
due to her cynical views, she tries to distance herself from others for the sole purpose of protecting herself from them. this way, outsiders have no way of entering her own little world where she is in complete safety in all her solitude. this way, there is no chance that she can be disappointed by people that have garnered her trust and care.
quite simply, she is afraid of being let down by people and so does not allow herself to forge bonds with them. any signs of friendship or attachment displayed are purely superficial on her part.
for most people, this is. the only exception to this rule of hers would be her elder brother, with whom she has an almost worrying obsession. just being in his presence is enough to dissolve her constraint and compel her to focus any and all attention on him, which in turn causes him to be nervous and uncomfortable around her, to the point that he almost seems scared. she has no hesitation in becoming suddenly hostile towards the people that she deems a threat toward him, or even the people that are close to him that she fears will attempt to take him away from her. she will go to great lengths to capture his attention, though she is rarely successful in captivating him in the way she wishes. he never looks at her the way she wants him to. the thought alone is enough to drive her to a rage.
she claims outwardly with pride that she is deeply in love with her brother. however, she is in no way stupid and she is well aware that a lot of people deem her a psychopath with a personality disorder. she is also well aware that this is not entirely untrue. some part of her wonders where her obsession with her brother comes from, and what it could be classified as; because this voice of reason deep within her is conscious enough of her condition to realise that the feelings she is trying to force out from her sibling are too nonexistent to actually surface, and furthermore it realises that she would not be happy with the kind of relationship she has deluded herself into believing that she will share with her brother, should he someday choose to reciprocate her feelings.
perhaps it is simply a cry out for attention, for somebody - anybody - to take hold of her in their arms and comfort her. to love her.
though every other part of her finds these thoughts to be frightening and confusing, and so she rarely acknowledges the fact that they exist and does nothing to reach out to others in an attempt to help herself. simply continuing with her current way of living is the easy option, and she would much rather go with that.
when it comes to her elder sister, natalia behaves much more customary. she treats her sister very much so the way she would treat anyone else unimportant to her, albeit with more compassion and understanding. they are family, after all. however, there is always a looming sense of awkwardness around her as natalia seems to be under the impression that she poses some sort of threat; as their brother was always so much more affectionate towards her.
despite all this which has served to build up her infamous reputation throughout the school, she is not unable to be social with her fellow students if it is necessary. in situations that call for it, she very much appears to be a normal girl with normal feelings, able to hold conversations about normal topics with normal people. however, it is almost as if she is never fully focused on the people and tasks she should be focusing on, as if some part of her is constantly thousands of miles away.
( aaaaah, this is totally not brief. i'm sorryyy. orz;; )
HISTORY:
born in moscow, russia, natalia was the youngest sister and as such depended on her older siblings for a lot of things in life. that is, until she reached the age of four when they were separated and taken to different countries respectively, to live with distant family members. none of them were ever informed of the reason why this happened.
natalia quickly became antisocial and withdrawn, broken without the company of her family to keep her warm and safe. every day, she would lock herself up in her bedroom and play with the dolls that had been given to her from her brother as a baby. she continued to act this way well into her teens, refusing to open up to society. during this time, it could be said that she lost some of her sanity, or mentally cracked, or any other action that sufficiently describes the change that occurred in the once sweet little girl. all that matters is - she changed, inevitably.
she began to develop an abnormal interest in the occult, and convinced herself that if she worked hard enough and practised her skills, she would be able to bring her brother and sister back to her through magic and sheer willpower. needless to say, her plans failed drastically. she still retained her interest in the supernatural and otherworldly happenings, though, which only served to increase the levels of unease people felt while in her presence.
once she was old enough, her guardians decided that it would be for the best that she should be introduced to her family once again, hopefully in the process inducing some sort of positive change in natalia. naturally, she was overjoyed, to the extent of crying herself to sleep at night out of pure excitement. she was informed that they were to meet up and study together in the final years of their education at nekotalia - a foreign school. however, when the time finally came for them to be reunited, natalia found that the precious memories she held of her dear brother and sister were skewed, and that all three of them had changed drastically, for better or for worse.
even now, she still carries around at least one of her tattered old dolls everywhere with her.
ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE:
The ceremony had already begun and the students were all filed neatly in rows of seating when a young girl with long platinum hair has sidled in as silently as she could, trying to attract as little attention as possible. She had originally planned on skipping the gathering and attempting to entice her brother to follow her lead, but figured that not showing up on the first day would not do her any favours in trying to survive in this school for another year.
Natalia sighed, unable to spot any empty seats in the back few rows, so instead took to leaning against the wall beside the doors she had come in from. She twiddled with a strand of her hair absentmindedly, not paying much attention to what was being said. What did it matter anyway? Vaguely, she wondered where in the hall her siblings were seated, as she had failed to pick them out from the sea of heads on her way in.
She remained inattentive until she seemed to pick up something about teams, and competition. Oh? What was this? Suddenly finding herself a lot more interested in the subject at hand, Natalia stared at Principal Rome as he made his speech intensely.
A small smirk crept its way onto her rosy lips, and she found her heart rate increasing at the thought of an all out war between the students. Honestly, what kind of a school was this? Still, she wasn’t objecting to the idea. Anything that would help her become closer to her brother…
“Female. Belarus,” she heard the Principal booming out her name, breaking her away from her train of thought. “Codename: Wedding Veil.” It was almost hard not to laugh at the irony. The name was fitting, to say the least. It most definitely described a certain side of her very well, something which she was pleased the teachers seemed to have picked up on. She had heard other ‘codenames’ that were simply mortifying, so was contented with what she had been assigned.
She walked swiftly down the parting of the rows of seating, eyes kept intently on the microphone ahead of her. Completely ignoring the Principal, she took her place before the mic and scanned her audience for a few seconds before speaking softly, and clearly. “I will be joining the Allies, thank you.” And with that, she was returning to her place by the entrance to the hall, satisfied with her decision. Especially since her brother had joined that specific team.
Natalia smiled happily to herself, humming almost inaudibly to herself as she walked. Maybe this year was going to be less disheartening than she had suspected.
( i'm too lazy to come up with another example, so here, have something totally unrelated! \=w=/ )
